Presented as the inaugural event in the Our Lady of Walsingham Academy Lecture Series, this presentation will examine one of the most important questions facing Catholic families today: how to nurture a lasting commitment to the faith in an increasingly secular world.
The Lecture Series features speakers and presentations reflective of the ideas of Western civilization that inform the curriculum and culture of Colorado Springs’ first classical Catholic high school.
ABOUT FR. SEBASTIAN WALSHE, O.Praem
Fr. Sebastian Walshe, O.Praem., is a Norbertine Canon of St. Michael’s Abbey in Orange County, Calif., where he serves as a professor of philosophy in the seminary program. He is a graduate of Thomas Aquinas College and pursued advanced studies at The Catholic University of America and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, earning a Master’s in Sacred Theology and a Doctorate in Philosophy.
A nationally sought-after speaker, retreat master and author, Fr. Walshe is known for making Catholic theology, philosophy and spiritual formation accessible to contemporary audiences. He is the author of Always a Catholic, a guide for parents seeking to help their children remain faithful to the Church throughout their lives. Fr. Walshe is a frequent contributor to Catholic media and has spoken extensively on faith, family life, education and the Catholic intellectual tradition.
