Our Academic Approach
The mission of Our Lady of Walsingham Academy is to form liberally educated Catholic ladies and gentlemen. Therefore, the school provides an intellectual formation based on the liberal arts, fine arts, math and science.
The curriculum at Our Lady of Walsingham Academy assumes an atmosphere and environment in the pursuit and development of virtue. For it is only in such an atmosphere that the mind of the student is proportioned and apt for wisdom. Therefore, the school is deeply concerned with the cultivation of the five intellectual virtues (understanding, science, wisdom, arts and prudence) and the cultivation of the moral virtues as they are ordered to the intellectual virtues - a Catholic classical education.
Math & Sciences Program
Navigating the vast tapestry of knowledge at Our Lady of Walsingham Academy, science beckons with an intricately woven blend of profound disciplines. Rooted in theology, the courses illuminate a path that extends through the rigorous landscapes of algebra and Euclidean geometry, while also branching into the realms of philosophy and the empirical sciences (biology, chemistry and physics).
- 9th Grade: Algebra I or II, Astronomy, Scripture
- 10th Grade: Euclid Books I-VI, Biology, Sacraments
- 11th Grade: Algebra II, Precalculus, Chemistry, Logic I, Ethics
- 12th Grade: Precalculus or Calculus, Physics, Logic II, God and Trinity
Ancillary Arts & Disciplines
At Our Lady of Walsingham Academy, we delve into subjects that extend beyond the core essentials. Students explore the significance of Grammar, Astronomy, and Rhetoric as integral components of the classical Catholic tradition, fostering cognitive development and effective communication. Additionally, subjects such as Latin, Greek, and History, often referred to as liberal disciplines, offer a deeper understanding of culture and heritage.

- 11th Grade: Junior Thesis, Medieval History, Great Books I, Latin Vulgate, Caesar and Cicero, Greek Gamma Athanaze III
- 12th Grade: Senior Thesis, Foundations of American History, Great Books II, Latin Aeneid, Greek Delta Athanaze III and New Testament/Homer
The Fine Arts
At Our Lady of Walsingham Academy we prioritize an education that goes beyond textbooks and lectures. Our belief in the value of the fine arts extends beyond the canvas and the stage. We recognize that these artistic pursuits are not only supplemental to the quest for wisdom, but play a pivotal role in shaping character and refinement. Every student embarks on a creative journey, mastering calligraphy, honing drawing and painting skills, harmonizing their voices in the choir, taking center stage in theatrical performances, and learning to dance.
- 9th - 12th Grade: Folk and Ballroom dance, Renaissance Sacred Polyphony Schola, Calligraphy and Drawing.

Our Faculty
We work to find talented and dynamic faculty dedicated to the vision and mission of our school. Each faculty and staff member takes the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium at the Mass of the Holy Spirit at the beginning of the academic year. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Our Lady of Walsingham Academy participate in the House System.
